I'm anticipating more of those from most publishers really. I feel like it's either I'll have to bite that GKC bullet more than want to or simply go straight digital(which I don't want as well) 

Or you could just do what I did, not buy anything that isn't fully physical. If they don't want my money, they don't have to get it. I have an immense collection of retro games and consoles from Atari 2600 all the way to the current stuff. I'm good.
