Yeah - although I voted for Mega Drive, first thing that popped into my mind was OG XBOX - not only it had really good library, that, at least from perspective of console gamers, was quite different than what they are used to, but its hardware marks beginning of the shift to PC-like internals design philosophy of consoles in last few generations.
