I'll ask it here since we don't need another thread. What will it take for Donald Trump to get in the range of approval ratings for US Presidents that is the all-time low? The record lows for a moment in time are Harry S. Truman at 22%, Richard Nixon at 24% and George W. Bush at 25%. Trump is sitting around 33-34%, his all-time low along with right after January 6th five years ago. I think with how engrained Trump's cult of personality is, it will take seizing Greenland and a depression to get him around the record lows in the low to mid 20s. And notice I said both. I think he can eek out the high 20s in approval ratings if just one of those happens. |
An economic downturn like when Lehman Brothers collapsed in 2008, when unemployment rates soared far higher than they are now. American Republican supporters no longer care about laws or ethics. I think they only break free from brainwashing when their own lives become unbearable.
