You watch a video like this and at first, you think to yourself... Oh man, DLSS 2 looks so shimmery and has plenty artifacts, blur and ghosting. How did we ever phrase this back in the day? And then you realize the render resolution he is using to show off the differences is 360p and 540p upscaled to 1080p and understand how nutty it was that an upscaling technology is able to not only show the game being as clear as it is back in the day but how much clear it is with the new model is absolutely nuts. DLSS 2 was never meant to go down this low and the fact that DLSS 4.5 is able to still be this clear while upscaling from 360p is truly nuts!
I also like that Nvidia has kept all the DLSS versions in their app so for the older generation of cards like Turing and Ampere where DLSS 4 is quite heavy, they can choose to run DLSS 2 and 3 in quality mode while still getting really great fps and visuals.
