007 First Light requires 32GB of RAM and 12GB of VRAM for gaming at 1080p/60FPS

IO Interactive has revealed the official PC system requirements for its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.
>> A game that will run on consoles with 16GB of total RAM requires twice as much to play 1080p/60fps. I hope they don’t complain if sales aren’t great on PC.

...That game has absolutely no right to be so demanding. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I'm getting the impression they're doing a lot of fancy stuff for very little benefit, and it should be possible to scale down the game easily without making it look that much worse. This smells like poor optimization if I've ever seen any, and what a time it is for such (V)RAM requirements.

I agree that it's not the best moment to ask for so much RAM, more so to run the game at 1080p.

I don't know, I want to believe that they're trying to cover their asses with higher than usual requirements just so they can use them as an excuse when some gamers complain about how it runs.

The VRAM thing is, in part, understandable and, after Indiana Jones, more games will do the same. But it will still be weird to see someone with, say, an RTX 3060 12GB play this game while others with a 3080 won't be able to.

Please excuse my bad English.
