I doubt this is the case. At $600/$1000 the Xbox Ally isn't going to "compete" with the Switch 2 at all, it will be a niche within a niche, and MS knows this. There are also already games from Activision and other MS owned companies confirmed for/released on Switch 2 such as Tony Hawk 3 + 4 Remake and Indiana Jones. I suspect what really happened was that by the time Activision got hold of Switch 2 devkits, there simply wasn't enough time to have a port ready in time for this year's entry. |
The actual port itself may be the bigger issue. But its definitley Microsoft's loss here as a release on Switch 2 would have surely helped to boost the failing sales. When I say the actual port, I wonder about the look a the recent file sizes for the COD installations and they are tragic. They has to be a better way to ship this game so that it doesn't take up 200+ GB of space. its getting offensive. I download the trial for the multiplayer and it started download so much crap it seemed like a joke.
I'm hoping that a Switch 2 port forces them to reevaluate the way they are managing their storage, and cross game dependency requirements
