The only Xbox OS I liked was whatever the original 360 had; the rest suck ass. PS3 was pretty decent and so was the PS4, no idea what the PS5 is like. Yeah, the Wii U OS was also pretty bad.

Personally I like the PS5 OS best out of PS3, PS4 and PS5.  It is customizable and I spend less time in it than I did on the PS4 because I was able to move stuff around to make my most used functions only a movement or 2 away.  The only active PS4 (PS4 Pro) in the house has upgraded internal storage and a large external drive on it with probably a couple hundred games installed on the system (i despise the delete games to install new ones routine).  The downside of that is you spend nearly a minute cruising through all those games to reach your library folder at the end of the list with PS4.

I want to spend as little time in the OS as possible, I am there to play a game or watch something not navigate the OS.  The simple OS of the S1 and S2 are great from that perspective BUT I also have a fraction of the games on those systems than on the PS so I cannot say how they really stack up against each other where a big library is concerned.

I had a large library on the WiiU (2 Tb External dual hard drive enclosure attached to it) and it was nice to be able to give all my game series their own page (i.e. I had all my Metroids on a page, Mario had it's own page, Mega-man, Zelda ect all had their own pages)  With the folders I was able to drop all the crap indie games I bought into a folder so that I didn't have to delete them to not really see them.  Oh and as someone else said MiiVerse was great.

I don't particularly care, as long as it works well enough. I recently got a PS5, and its OS definitely feels worse to use than PS4's. I wouldn't have minded using the same OS from PS4, since it was very functional and easy to use. I feel like Sony changed this just for the sake of change instead of because they're better, so now they're different but worse. It's not terrible, but it definitely feels like a miss.

Have you played with customization of the PS5 OS? If you play with it some you may find you like it better.  To each their own though so perhaps not.
