Friday gaming news, part two. Here you’ll find articles I, and only I, decided worth sharing in its usual form. It’s still a long post:

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/survivorlike-shooter-night-swarm-just-launched-on-steam/

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/blood-refreshed-supply-launches-today-bundling-new-scenarios-with-the-remastered-90s-classic/
In 2019, Blood: Fresh Supply refreshed the classic 1997 DOS game, and now Blood: Refreshed Supply is refreshing Fresh Supply, for an experience that ought to be extremely fresh. Developer Nightdive is calling it the "definitive version."

Substructure is a multiplayer automation game with a deep, dark twist
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/substructure-is-a-multiplayer-automation-game-with-a-deep-dark-twist/
From the minds that brought us UltraCube, one of the most popular and darkly unique Factorio mods out there, comes a new take on the automation genre. The UK-based Dubious Design game studio has been working on something altogether different: Substructure, a game about farming, automation, and dredging up far more than you bargained for.

Ferocious blends Far Cry chaos with Ark's dino-taming, and it's available on Steam right now
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/ferocious-blends-far-cry-chaos-with-arks-dino-taming-and-its-available-on-steam-right-now/
Dinosaurs? Dinosaurs! Sometimes the litmus test for whether a game is cool or not really is that simple. And Ferocious, which has just launched on Steam during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, wins bonus points for piling mechsuits, Tarkov-like weapon modifications, and dino-taming into the mix. Never settle for less.

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/eldritch-horrors-grasp-your-frail-teammates-minds-in-neath-an-upcoming-tactical-roguelike-rpg-where-you-also-control-the-enemy/
Revealed today with a radical announcement trailer during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, upcoming tactical RPG Neath looks to be a freshly awakened eldritch take on the roguelike genre. Brought to us by Cellar Door Games, the makers of the Rogue Legacy series and Don't Shit Your Pants (featured in our ex-plumber's guide to bathroom murder), Neath will be a reality-warping addition to the studio's growing library.

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/turn-small-puppers-into-huge-doggos-in-new-deckbuilding-roguelike-dogpile-out-now/
Dogs are great, but what if they were bigger? That's the bold question Dogpile dares to ask. It's a new roguelike deckbuilder all about merging pups. If you're wondering what on Earth that actually means, check out the trailer just revealed during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted.

Upcoming adventure game Epoch Reset has awakened the Steins;Gate stan in me with its time-bending shoujo storyline
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/upcoming-adventure-game-epoch-reset-has-awakened-the-steins-gate-stan-in-me-with-its-time-bending-shoujo-storyline/
At the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, we just revealed the world premiere of Epoch Reset (previously Chronellium), a time-bending, 2.5D anime adventure from the same publisher as wholesome origami adventure Hirogami and biopunk battler Sonokuni. This time they're taking the path of the intelligentsia with an immersive, sci-fi narrative adventure with time travel at its core.

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/defend-earth-from-the-arachnid-scourge-in-starship-troopers-ultimate-bug-war-a-new-retro-fps-coming-next-year/
Well ohh-rah! Another world premiere, FPS Starship Troopers Ultimate Bug War just unveiled its debut trailer during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, introduced by none other than Casper Van Dien, the actor who plays Johnny Rico in the movies. He seems to have lost an eye, but any sacrifice is a small price to pay to free humanity from the Arachnid menace.

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/upcoming-action-rpg-queens-domain-looks-like-just-the-thing-for-fans-of-classic-fromsoftware-games/
Officially announced during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted today (though there's been some hints online for a bit), Queen’s Domain will be heading to Steam come 2026. This first-person action RPG is a dark fantasy adventure that wears its familiar retro aesthetic proudly in an age of hyperreal graphics and ray-traced lighting.

Attack to the beat in Wardrum, a new rougelite rhythm strategy game where you have to free the world from poorly timed magic
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/attack-to-the-beat-in-wardrum-a-new-rougelite-rhythm-strategy-game-where-you-have-to-free-the-world-from-poorly-timed-magic/
I never understood those guys in old-timey wars who just marched straight into cannon fire banging their little drums. That is until I watched the Wardrum reveal trailer just shown during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted. Now, I'm ready to lay down my life for developer Mopeful Games.

Check out this game that's definitely About Fishing and not anything creepy or untoward at all
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/check-out-this-game-thats-definitely-about-fishing-and-not-anything-creepy-or-untoward-at-all/
About Fishing, as you might've guessed, is actually about more than just fishing. Of course, there's fishing involved. You'll catch rare species of fish through a world teeming with submerged life, with each creature displaying individual behaviors as well as unique shapes and patterns. But just as every new fish friend is a delightfully distinct discovery, every NPC has their own patterns and personalities to display. Some are far more 'abyssal zone' than others.

The Gods are dead and Death is your only master in Gods, Death & Reapers, a chaotic hack-n-slash extraction looter now accepting alpha playtesters
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/the-gods-are-dead-and-death-is-your-only-master-in-gods-death-and-reapers-a-chaotic-hack-n-slash-extraction-looter-now-accepting-alpha-playtesters/
Wolcen Studio has been working on something altogether gritty: a high-stakes, isometric looter set in a post-apocalyptic world beyond death. In Gods, Death & Reapers, mythos reigns true and all the Gods are dead.

Down with the Ship's demo proves it's a worthy spiritual successor to the space-faring magic captured by FTL: Faster than Light
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/down-with-the-ships-demo-proves-its-a-worthy-spiritual-successor-to-the-space-faring-magic-captured-by-ftl-faster-than-light/
As a certified FTL: Faster Than Light sicko (it's my most-played game on Steam and it's not even close), I'm always excited when a game comes along that iterates on the wonderfully simple-yet-challenging roguelike. Enter Down with the Ship, an asynchronous auto battler that adds a thrilling layer of chance to the formula. It even has a demo out now so you can try it for yourself.

Rivage is a time loop puzzle game from the same publisher as Blue Prince
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/rivage-is-a-time-loop-puzzle-game-from-the-same-publisher-as-blue-prince/
From the publisher of Blue Prince and developer Exnilo Studio comes what looks like another mind-bending puzzle game: Revealed at the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, Rivage sees you stuck in a time loop aboard a seemingly abandoned space station. It's a bad situation, but if Matt Damon can defeat the odds in space, then so can you.

A game where you buy and sell stocks based on the lives on alien babies has a demo out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/a-game-where-you-buy-and-sell-stocks-based-on-the-lives-on-alien-babies-has-a-demo-out-now/
From the developers that brought us Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, Clickolding, and El Paso, Elsewhere, comes the sequel I didn't know I needed: Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator. Yep, it's exactly what it sounds like: a game where you trade and bet on alien babies as though they were stocks. Capitalism is hell.

One of our favorite FPSes is getting a spin-off we didn't expect: Dungeons of Dusk
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/one-of-our-favorite-fpses-is-getting-a-sequel-we-didnt-expect-dungeons-of-dusk/
New Blood Interactive just announced that we're getting a follow up tofast-paced retro FPS Dusk, but it's not what you think. They're about to hit us with a turn-based dungeon crawler set "canonically between the episodes" of the FPS.

The House of Hikmah is an upcoming puzzle adventure that dives into a young girl's journey through grief
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/the-house-of-hikmah-is-an-upcoming-puzzle-adventure-that-dives-into-a-young-girls-journey-through-grief/
A world premiere of The House of Hikmah just aired on the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, and I cannot wait to dive into this ethereal puzzle adventure from Lunacy Studios. This is the studio's first ever game, and it's one for fans of Abzû and Journey, even featuring music from the composer of the latter.

Springs, Eternal is the first full-sized game from Gone Home co-creator Steve Gaynor after the rest of Fullbright broke off
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/springs-eternal-is-the-first-full-sized-game-from-gone-home-co-creator-steve-gaynor-after-the-rest-of-fullbright-broke-off/

This first look at Inkblood is giving me the heebie-jeebies, but in a jaunty, dark carnivalesque way
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/this-first-look-at-inkblood-is-giving-me-the-heebie-jeebies-but-in-a-jaunty-dark-carnivalesque-way/
Any trailer that begins with a crow-bitten corpse is a surefire way to indicate to the goth inside me that we're in for a good, creepy time. Inkblood is dripping in that uncanny, ominous vibe I crave, as is clear by the world premiere trailer just aired during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted. Think Papers Please, with a vibrant helping of the kind of daunting yet cozy demonic energy The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood and Strange Horticulture bring to the table.

Delightfully weird dream logic RPG Away From Home is out this week
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/delightfully-weird-dream-logic-rpg-away-from-home-is-out-this-week/
If you just watched the trailer for Away From Home and thought, "Huh?" then don't worry, you're not alone. There's a lot going on in this adorable and horrifying indie game shown in a montage during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, and I'm here to break it all down for you.
>> Launches today, December 5th.

Hytale won't be on Steam when it launches into early access: Developers want to focus on the game, not 'on negative reviews from players that aren't as well-informed yet about what we are doing'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/hytale-wont-be-on-steam-when-it-launches-into-early-access-developers-want-to-focus-on-the-game-not-on-negative-reviews-from-players-that-arent-as-well-informed-yet-about-what-we-are-doing/
Hytale is back from the dead and heading for an early access launch in January, but in an unexpected twist it will not be available on Steam. The absence isn't a Steam decision, though: Developer Hypixel Studios says it just doesn't want to be there at this early stage of the game.

I’m posting the Steam weekend deals here, just so you don’t have to scroll so much to find them. GOG has nothing besides the ones from the article:
