Israeli assault on West Bank’s Far’a camp injures 15 with dozens arrested

At least 15 Palestinians have been wounded in an ongoing Israeli raid of the Far’a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. Nidal Odeh, head of ambulance and emergency services in Tubas city, said the victims sustained beatings by Israeli troops, with eight transferred to hospital and the rest treated on site.

The army continues to storm homes, make arrests, and force Palestinians out of their residences to turn houses into military posts, the official Wafa news agency reported.

Kamal Bani Odeh, director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society in Tubas, said more than 20 people were arrested on Friday.

Soldiers remain deployed in Tubas, Aqqaba town, and the village of Tayasir, where more homes have been turned into military positions.

Israeli troops raid West Bank’s Ramallah area

Israeli forces have carried out multiple incursions across Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Soldiers stormed the village of Burqa and fired live ammunition and stun grenades near residential homes, Wafa news agency reported, citing witnesses.

In a separate incident, Israeli troops entered the town of Sarda, northeast of Ramallah, and set up an army checkpoint on the main road, stopping vehicles and inspecting identification cards.

At the Atara checkpoint, north of Ramallah, Israeli soldiers seized the keys of three Palestinian vehicles. Witnesses said traffic was disrupted around the Atara bridge area as troops left the vehicles sitting in the middle of the road.

Israel escalating mass arrests across West Bank, rights group warns

The Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies says Israel has sharply intensified its mass arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank, a form of collective punishment aimed at intimidating communities.

Riyad al-Ashqar, the centre’s director, said Israeli forces have increased overnight raids on towns, villages and refugee camps, breaking into homes, damaging property, and seizing cash and jewellery before detaining residents. Many are taken blindfolded and handcuffed to makeshift interrogation sites.

Al-Ashqar said nearly all detainees experience some form of violence or degrading treatment from the moment of arrest, including prolonged exposure to cold and rain, and physical and verbal assaults.

No area of the West Bank has been spared, he said, citing a recent large-scale incursion in Tammun where more than 300 residents, including the town’s mayor, were detained and interrogated before most were released.

Israeli bulldozers destroy more homes in Jenin camp

Since the early hours, Israeli troops have demolished Palestinian homes in the besieged Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

Israeli bulldozers started demolishing 24 homes in the Abdullah Azzam neighbourhood, west of the camp, including 12 slated for complete demolition, the report said. The Israeli army has destroyed more than 600 homes in the refugee camp since January, forcing the displacement of 22,000 residents, the Wafa news agency reported.
