A very small victory for AMD GPUs. At least it's a good change of pace.

64GB DDR5-6000 memory kits now priced near Radeon RX 9070 XT and above PlayStation 5

This is insane. And things won't get better anytime soon, with Google telling its employees that it needs to double its AI capacity every six months (PCGamer).

Mummelmann was very smart going with a 64GB kit when he build his machine, even if it doesn't reach those 6000MT/s and CL30 sweet spots.

For some desperate people, Hardware Unboxed tested the difference running single and dual channel, in case people wanted to try and save some money on RAM:

From little difference in GPU bounded games to really big gaps in others. But good luck finding a matching RAM stick once prices fall to less ridiculous levels.

Interesting video.

I guess the statement we've all seen that AMD runs better on Linux than Nvidia is only partially true, or partially wrong. Depending on how you view it.

Still, if someone wants to give MSoft the middle finger, the best course of action would probably be going the other way around, keeping a Windows install to play games but using a Linux one for everything else. After all, what we do with our PCs outside of gaming is much more interesting for all these companies than how and what we play.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.
