That's a fair point. But it's a PC with a console-like overview interface. Linux based PC specifically that Valve made called SteamOS. You can hook up a mouse/keyboard and use it like a regular PC. Can even install Windows on it if you want.

The appeal is primarily making PC gaming easier to get into as it's been notoriously difficult as well as Valve wanting to go outside the concept of standard computing at a desk. So making PC gaming easier to get into and making it affordable. Like what the Steam Deck was with PC handhelds. Much cheaper than the competition with an easy to understand UX/UI.
