And three. Because of course:
Battlefield 6 players says they got banned from Steam forums for sharing a config tweak that lets PC players disable crossplay, and yes, PC players can disable crossplay

Consider this a two-for-one PSA for Battlefield 6 players on PC who don't want to share their battlefields with the console squad: It's possible to disable crossplay on PC, and you might get banned from the Steam forums for talking about it.
The whole thing first came to our attention by way of this Reddit thread, in which someone claimed that their friend had been banned from the Battlefield 6 community on Steam for posting a message explaining how to disable crossplay in the PC version of the game. Anything on the internet that begins with "my friend said" triggers immediate suspicion, but the image of the ban message looks legit, and more to the point the listed fix does apparently work.

Jennifer Hale did not see the twist in Knights of the Old Republic coming either: 'I remember just being gobsmacked by this game so many times'

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the game that put BioWare on the map for people who thought Baldur's Gate was the thing that kept Baldur's dog in Baldur's yard, has an incredible twist. Unfortunately, I knew about it ahead of time because of the internet, but if you haven't played it yet—it's an old game, but young people exist and not everyone has time for everything—then this is me warning you to play it before somebody spoils it for you.

Jennifer Hale, the voice actor playing Jedi Master Bastila Shan in Knights of the Old Republic, did not know the twist in advance. As is often the case in videogame recording, she didn't get to see the script until she was in the booth. "We never got our scripts ahead of time", Hale recently told Buzzfeed. "Most of the games I've ever done have been cold reading. I walk in, and I see the line. I do the line, and it goes to market."
Rockstar says the employees it fired were leaking information, but it's not going to escape union busting accusations that easily
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/grand-theft-auto/rockstar-says-the-employees-it-fired-were-leaking-information-but-its-not-going-to-escape-union-busting-accusations-that-easily/
Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games was accused of union busting last week after it fired a group of more than 30 employees who belonged to a Discord server related to labor organizing. Now the developer says the employees were fired for violating company policy by sharing confidential information in a public forum.

Ball x Pit just got a Bug x Fix and all the icons in the encyclopedia are full-color now
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/roguelike/ball-x-pit-just-got-a-bug-x-fix-and-all-the-icons-in-the-encyclopedia-are-full-color-now/
Roguelite brick-breaker Ball x Pit has become my new "game I play when I'm watching people roleplay" because it's not demanding enough to distract me from all the dicerolling and regional accents, but it does give my hands something to do. Look, it's this or cigarettes and Ball x Pit is the less-crippling of the two addictions.
And now Ball x Pit is slightly better because the November patch fixes a bunch of bugs, and as the top patch note explains, the encyclopedia has been updated with full-color icons. This may seem like a small thing, but the original version not only looked bland, but made it tough to tell at a glance whether you were looking at, say, a poison ball or an ice ball. Now that one is green and the other blue like God intended that's no longer an issue. (It was enough of an annoyance there was even a now-redundant Encyclopedia Colored mod.)
In a true nightmare scenario, this anticipated indie has been delayed only hours before launch for a 'boring and frustrating' reason
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/in-a-true-nightmare-scenario-this-anticipated-indie-has-been-delayed-only-hours-before-launch-for-a-boring-and-frustrating-reason/
Unbeatable is a rhythm adventure with a lavish hand-drawn anime style and "arcade-flawless" gameplay. It's set in a world where music is illegal, which means not only are you breaking the law by playing it, but occasionally the situation warrants punching cops. Count me in! Alas, it's just been delayed by a month, mere hours before its scheduled November 6 release date.
According to RJ Lake at studio D-Cell Games, the delay is unavoidable. "There’s a very boring and frustrating reason," Lake wrote on Steam. "QA hit a low-repro progression blocker last night that’s serious enough it’s considered unreleasable. Fixing this would require pushing the console release date back because of cert timelines, and not fixing this is, well. We refuse to do that. We’re fixing it."
Marvel Rivals subtly teases the arrival of two X-Men in the background image of the latest patch notes
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/third-person-shooter/marvel-rivals-subtly-teases-the-arrival-of-two-x-men-in-the-background-image-of-the-latest-patch-notes/
The queue to get into Marvel Rivals must be out the door by now, as it feels like NetEase teases a new pair of heroes every other day. But like clockwork, there are two more heroes ready to tussle for the next spot on the roster, as two new X-Men have been spotted in the patch notes.
Peak's new update added a ridiculously powerful enemy which was swiftly nerfed after being labelled 'too much of a constant run-ender'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sim/peaks-new-update-added-a-ridiculously-powerful-enemy-which-was-swiftly-nerfed-after-being-labelled-too-much-of-a-constant-run-ender/
Peak's new Roots biome dropped yesterday, adding a forest of redwood trees and gigantic bouncy mushrooms that will inevitably spell your untimely demise. But tucked among the trees and mushies is a lot more challenge than the rest of the game really offers—despite the icy winds, scorching heat and rising fog that other biomes throw in your way. But now, thanks to the games' new update, there's a lot more for you to navigate.
WoW's game director says they don't want combat AddOns to do anything the base UI doesn't: 'The overarching goal of the changes in Midnight is to level the playing field'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/world-of-warcraft/wows-game-director-says-they-dont-want-combat-addons-to-do-anything-the-base-ui-doesnt-the-overarching-goal-of-the-changes-in-midnight-is-to-level-the-playing-field/
World of Warcraft: Midnight is doing something pretty huge—with Blizzard taking aim at the game's combat mods, also known as AddOns, by making changes to the API (which feeds them the info they need to work). Other UI mods will stay untouched, but anything that gives you an overt advantage in a fight? It's being sent to the void.
Please excuse my bad English.
