Oh, I see. Totally get that. The isometric ones have such a well-crafted feel to their combat and bosses And the more restrictive items use and RPG mechanics make for a better paced and experience.
I like the party based ones but I have to create self-imposed restrictions to get the experience I'm looking for. Ys 7, and to a lesser extend Celceta, kind of retains some of the older feel but the overcentralizing Flash mechanics are there in all of these, to similar degrees of balance sadly. The music slaps in pretty much all of them, though.
8's production values made more sense when it was a Vita game but even 9 looks like an extremely upscaled early 360 game.
