Telltale-style adventures are back: Dispatch has sold more than a million copies in 10 days

When Telltale Games came to a messy end, it seemed like the end of the line for that particular style of episodic modern choice-and-consequence adventure game. In retrospect, Life is Strange looked like a blip, a one-hit wonder whose success wasn't repeated by any of its spin-offs or follow-ups. No amount of editorials about why Telltale mattered could bring those games back.
Which is why it's a pleasant surprise to see that Dispatch has done so well. Its developer, Adhoc Studio, just posted that it's sold over a million copies in 10 days, and it's not even done yet, with the final two episodes of its six-episode run due out on Wednesday at 9 am PST.

It's our duty to tell you every time XCOM 2 goes on sale and it's happened again. This time, the discount's part of a Firaxis sale on Steam that ends at 10 am on November 17, although XCOM 2's 95% off discount will end 41 hours from now, so get in quick. After that, it'll be a still-quite-reasonable 80% off.
You can also get Marvel's Midnight Suns for 85% off and finally understand why it was our runner-up for Game of the Year in 2022. (The answer is: because it was ace, and anyone who complained about how it lets you spend hours hanging out and becoming best buds with Wolverine and Magik is a goose.)
Civilization 7 is currently 35% off if you want to dive into the latest in the series, and once you do you can grab the Tides of Power Collection DLC, which is available for free until January 5. Though Civilization 6 is 90% off if you haven't tried the previous entry, and I still have a lot of add-ons for Civ 5 to collect. Oh look, Brave New World is 75% off.

Bethesda just can't help itself: It's gearing up to break some Fallout 4 mods one last time for the road—but at least it's just the main menu ones this time

If Bethesda has a singular passion, it's releasing updates that break your mods. Last year, the studio released a "next-gen" update for Fallout 4 that sent reams of mods to the phantom zone, and that sent a brand-new mod—one that simply rolled back Bethesda's update—rocketing to the top of the charts.
Now, Bethesda would like you to know it's gearing up to break your mods once more, but at least it's a limited subset of them this time. With Fallout 4's 10th-anniversary edition gearing up for launch in the next week, the studio's warned players that it's going to break any main menu mods they might have come November 10, presumably because Todd Howard just gets a sick thrill from it.

Modder ‘Darko P’ has been working on an RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod for Max Payne 2 for a while now. And yesterday, the modder shared a new video, showcasing over 8 minutes of gameplay footage from it.
While this mod is not 100% complete yet, it will soon come out on ModDB. As the modder noted, though, there will be some visual issues here and there.
