Actually, this wouldn't take much less effort. In order to know the overall top 100, you need to compile the full ranking from everyone, and that's what takes the most time. And the second thing that takes most time, honestly, was the top 100 post with all the fancy banners.

I've been considering the idea of just hosting the event again, only without the results. So it'd just be the Discussion and Official threads, people make their lists and talk about them, and that's it. But even then, making the threads with their fancy banners and making my own fancy images for my list was the next thing that took the most time

I feel bad, because I meant to make my list every year but life got away from me and I didn't feel welcome on this site for a few years. The greatest games event was and hopefully is the best part of this site. If it continues I mean. I really really hope someone else takes up the mantle, even if it's not as extensive as what you did.
