AMD releases statement confirming RDNA1 and RDNA2 will continue to receive game optimizations

https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-releases-statement-confirming-rdna1-and-rdna2-will-continue-to-receive-game-optimizations

Even Steve can get it a bit wrong sometimes.

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025/11/amd-says-that-its-not-pulling-driver-support-for-older-radeon-gpus-afterall

As explained in the article, support isn't cut. At. All. AMD just moved them to a separate branch of the AMD driver so special optimisations with the hardware of RDNA3 and later in mind doesn't break functionality of older GPUs. They will still get full support from AMD other than that and maybe lack some Day-1 optimizations for new releases.

Similar thing with Windows 10: Windows 10 is cut from the supported OS list because Microsoft ended the support of the OS - but it will still supported for the foreseeable future.

Steve's problem is that he's been too slow to make the video. By the time he posted it, the other Steve, from HU, had made the one attacking AMD and another one talking about the changes, corrections or clarifications that AMD made after everyone started complaining about it.
