Yeah, the second option is definitely more aesthetically pleasing...what I find weird is they are willing to change it this late in he process - I would guess they were doing some prototyping around ergonomics, thermals and all other stuff.
I think putting left stick on top makes much more sense for it, since it packs 8 Gen2 which can easily emulate hardware that actually uses sticks a lot. So yeah, I would vote for that as well.
I think it's great device for the price - there's nothing as low cost like it with 8 Gen2, but Thor gives much more with its dual screens for $70 more. Besides, KONKR Pocket Fit, in the same from factor as RP, is also $70 more, and while not having OLED screen, it's packing G3 Gen3, which is quite a bit above 8 Gen2.
