Settlers attack Palestinian village overnight: Report

Israeli forces and settlers have carried out several overnight raids and assaults in the occupied West Bank. According to the Wafa news agency:

  • A group of settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Burqa, near Ramallah.
  • Israeli troops arrested a young man in Qalqilya city after searching his house.
  • Israeli troops raided several houses in villages near Bethlehem.


Israeli forces block Palestinian farmers from harvesting olives in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have prevented Palestinian farmers from entering their lands to harvest olives in Khirbet Yanun, south of Nablus, our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting. The incident comes just days after an Israeli settler assaulted a Palestinian woman while she was harvesting olives in the occupied West Bank town of Turmus Aya.

More raids, arrests in occupied West Bank

Israeli forces have carried out a new wave of raids across the occupied West Bank, rounding up at least 22 Palestinians this morning, according to Palestine’s Wafa news agency. They detained 16 people, including a child, across Hebron governorate, while apprehending five more in Nablus and the nearby Balata camp, reported Wafa.

Israeli forces also assaulted two people riding a motorcycle in Beit Hanina, a Palestinian neighbourhood in East Jerusalem, and arrested one of them, said Wafa.

Israel arrests 45 people in latest West Bank raids: Prisoner group

Israeli forces have detained 45 people, including a child and several former prisoners, in raids since last night, reports the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.

The majority of the arrests took place in Hebron governorate, while the rest were in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah, Qalqilya and Tulkarem, according to the group.

While making the arrests, Israeli forces vandalised homes and repeatedly assaulted detainees and their relatives, it added.
