  • Hamas has released the bodies of two more Israeli captives from Gaza as part of the US-brokered ceasefire deal.
  • Senior US officials, including Vice President JD Vance, have put a positive spin on the deal’s implementation despite repeated violations, telling reporters during a visit to Israel that things are “exceeding” expectations so far.
  • Hamas has condemned Israel’s failure to reopen the critical Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, saying its continued closure is blocking injured and sick Palestinians from getting medical care, as well as deliveries of humanitarian aid.
