I know there was Qualcomm's press release that next Retroid's device will be using G2 Gen2...which is rumored to be Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, with Adreno 732, which is fairly close to Adreno 740 in 8 Gen2.
That said, after looking a bit, Retroid and AYN are indeed under same parent company, Moorechip Technologies (which is founded by the guy who was VP in nVidia for 14 years), so given that a lot of things that show up in Retroid later come to AYN and vice versa, and AYN just launched Thor with 8G2, I wouldn't be surprised if they go with 8G2 instead.
