We're at this again it seems - this is something that competes with Valve and Steam, not Nintendo and Switch.
Valve is just about to release VR with SteamOS on ARM. They are Beta testing Steam on Apple MACs (ARM). There is (very believable) rumor they might be working on Steam for Android. MS is trying with Windows on ARM (so far only on Snapdragons).
I see this as prelude to at least cold war, and MS does not want gaming to move away from Windows and let SteamOS become main operating systems for gaming hardware.
