Yes, 3D is essential to a 3DS game. IPS still looks fantastic and if it's the correct aspect ratio and pixel density for DS then that is what DS will look better on. Don't get me wrong. OLED is usually superior to LCD. But we are talking about matching the original intent of the game developers here. I'm the kind of person that absolutely would buy a solid DS or 3DS clone. These just aren't it. Sorry man. 

Edit: We really need an Analogue Pocket DS. I would buy that in a heartbeat.
