• The release of high-profile Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti is reportedly being demanded by Hamas in a captive-prisoner exchange, Egyptian media report.
• Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu pledged, “We will continue to act to achieve all the war’s objectives: the return of all the hostages, the elimination of Hamas’s rule, and ensuring that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.”
• Israel has repeatedly denied permission to transfer incubators from an evacuated hospital in northern Gaza, worsening conditions in overcrowded health centres farther south where newborns are now sharing oxygen masks, UNICEF says.
• The Palestine Red Crescent Society says 29 of its staff have been killed in Gaza while carrying out humanitarian and medical duties since the war began two years ago.
