Settlers attack Palestinians in West Bank, Israeli army launches Nablus arrest campaign

Israeli settlers have set fire to a Palestinian-owned vehicle and smashed the windows of a home in the occupied West Bank village of Susya, near Masafer Yatta south of Hebron.

Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli army has also stormed the city of Nablus and arrested several Palestinians.


Palestinian man injured after Israeli army opens fire in West Bank town: Report

A young Palestinian man has been shot in the chest by Israeli troops in the village of Beit Inan, northwest of Jerusalem, according to the Wafa news agency. The man, who was not named, was taken to hospital in Ramallah, where he was reported to be in stable condition, Wafa said.

The incident is part of a surge in Israeli military and settler violence across the occupied West Bank amid Israel’s war on Gaza.

Separately, Wafa also reported that:

  • Two Palestinians were injured after Israeli forces opened fire in Deir Jarir, a town north of Ramallah; the military fired at residents after Israeli settlers stormed the village, setting fire to a vehicle.
  • The Israeli army stormed the town of Beit Duqqu, near Beit Inan, firing stun grenades and tear gas at residents.
  • Israeli settlers, under the protection of the military, stormed the outskirts of al-Mughayyir village near Ramallah.


One injured in Israeli settler attack south of Hebron in West Bank

A young man was shot and wounded during an Israeli settler attack in the village of al-Zweidin in the Yatta desert, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told the Wafa news agency that Israeli settlers attacked al-Zweidin and fired live ammunition, which wounded the young man in his foot. The settlers were under the protection of Israeli forces.

Several other Palestinians suffered bruises and contusions due to the attack.

According to Makhamreh, Israeli forces surrounded the village and prevented ambulance crews from entering it. A number of people were detained and interrogated.

At the same time, settlers stormed the village of Sha’b al-Batem in the Masafer Yatta area and attempted to steal sheep, and stormed the Haribat al-Nabi community.

Israeli forces also arrested a foreign activist who was documenting the settler attacks.


Israeli forces arrest 19 Palestinians after settlers storm village south of Hebron

At least 19 Palestinians have been arrested from the village of al-Zweidin in Yatta Badia, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, following an Israeli settler attack, according to the Wafa news agency.

Village council head Saeed al-Taimat told Wafa that several of the arrested individuals were injured after being attacked by Israelis from illegal settlements.

As we reported earlier, settlers stormed the village and shot a young man in the foot.


Israeli forces arrest two people in occupied West Bank’s Silwan district

Israeli forces arrested two people from the neighbourhood of Ras al-Amud in Silwan district, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Wafa news agency.

Wafa quoted witnesses as saying that Israeli forces had severely beaten two young men in the Nakhil Roundabout area of ​​Ras al-Amud before arresting them.

The forces had also fired tear gas canisters during the incident.
