Israeli violations to be sent to ICJ as onboard lawyers record seizures

Lawyers on board the flotilla vessels are documenting violations by Israel of international humanitarian and marine law.

The illegal actions by Israel’s navy will then be sent to the UN’s International Court of Justice, Al Jazeera’s Hassan Massoud, on board one of the vessels in the Mediterranean Sea, reported.

“We are monitoring all the cameras, and we can confirm that several boats are still trying to reach Gaza. Even if just one of the boats reaches Gaza, this would achieve their goal to break the siege.”

He said another flotilla is now sailing towards Gaza after leaving from Sicily, Italy, signalling activists are continuing efforts to reach the starving Palestinian people and put a spotlight on Israel’s total blockade of food, water, and medicine.

Spain summons Israel’s envoy after Gaza flotilla interception

Spain has summoned Israel’s top representative in Madrid in response to Israeli commandos intercepting the Gaza-bound flotilla.

“Today I summoned the charge d’affaires here in Madrid,” Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares told public broadcaster TVE, saying 65 Spaniards are travelling with the flotilla.

Israel withdrew its ambassador to Madrid last year after Spain recognised a Palestinian state.

‘Respect international law’: Australia monitors Israel’s flotilla seizures

Australia says it’s aware of reports of “detainments” by Israeli soldiers on the flotilla carrying activists and aid bound for Gaza.

Canberra said it stands ready to provide consular assistance to its affected citizens on board. “Australia calls on all parties to respect international law, to ensure the safety and humane treatment of those involved,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

A. You mean Israel (all parties? what the civilians on little sail boats?), can't even call Israel out...
B. It's kidnapping / piracy, not detentions.
C. Respecting international law means not kidnapping your citizens in the first place.
