I loved Resident Evil 1-CV, and half the time I was playing as a woman. I liked Heavenly Sword. I have no issues with Tomb Raider. But when it comes to this game, this is a complete switch. And honestly, given the company and who they got to voice the protagonist, it sort of smells a little bit forced... like it's a holder over from the woke-era. Could be wrong about that, but yeah. Really... really smells like it. And if that's the case, it could be a man, woman, gay, straight, trans, alien... I'm not going to buy it. I don't want identity politics in my games. Politics, okay. Not identity politics. I've been bludgeoned over the head for the last decade with that. I'm burned out.

Oh agreed. I'm extremely burned out too but from both the woke and the anitwoke. I'm vetting it now for Identity politics in the writing.

You shouldn't give up on it though, if you can play as an unattractive woman (even though all the games you mentioned have attractive women, Nariko was extremely hot bavk in the day) you could still enjoy this game. Don't get sucked into the grifters hate campaigns, research yourself. You could miss out on so many great games cause of this, like some people were saying Clair Obscur is woke trash.

Good advice and thanks, I'll take it into consideration!
