It could have done witout that third act aye but I never noticed any bloat, I spent 175 hours in it which is 100 hours more than the 100% completion time cause I spent so long taking my time and doing photography cause anytime the light hit just right I'd have to stroll around and feel the vibes. Hopefully it will be a bit tighter in story though, aye but I wouldn't want it too much in that way, AC shadows tried to do a story with freedom where you can tackle it in anyway and the reason I didn't buy it besides the bloat and scale. You can't tell a good story like that. We'll know today anyway, reviews drop soon. |
It was all the repetitive side content that wore me out. Every new area you unlocked, the same repetitive stuff.
I don't mind spending a lot of time with a game, but it has to have variety and experimentation. Hitman WoA was amazing on PSVR2. I skipped the whole gun stuff, ditching 90% of the 'complexity'. (I couldn't reach them, nor the ammo while sitting on the couch, VR fails) Ignored the main story and spend 100+ hours exploring the varied, very different levels and unique mission stories. Playing with the systems rather than following todo lists to gain xp or upgrade skills.
Find object, pick up and throw is all I needed to have all the fun in the game. And changing disguises of course.
