Two children among 12 Palestinians killed in Israeli strike in Gaza’s Nuseirat

There’s been another horrifying attack on a place where Palestinians displaced from Gaza City were seeking refuge. This time, it was in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza – in the Al-Ahli stadium, which has been converted into a shelter for displaced people.

At least 12 Palestinians have been killed – among them are seven women and at least two children.

This is not the first time Israeli forces attacked a family that has been recently evacuated from Gaza City. A couple of days ago, a tent in Deir el-Balah was struck, killing a family.

Despite these endless evacuation orders from Israeli forces telling Palestinians to leave Gaza City for the central and southern areas of the Strip, they are still being targeted wherever they go.

Mujahideen Brigades says commander killed along with family in Gaza

An Israeli attack has killed a Gaza-based field commander of the Mujahideen Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, as well as some of his relatives.

In a statement, the group said it mourned the killing of commander Muahmmad “Abu Hamza” Hajjaj on Tuesday. His death will only “increase our determination to adhere to the path of resistance”, it said.

Armed wing of Hamas claims to have killed Israeli soldiers in Gaza City

Qassam Brigades fighters have targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks with two Yassin 105 missiles, according to Hamas, killing and wounding unidentified number of Israeli soldiers in the Tal al-Hawa area of Gaza City.

Gaza’s largest urban centre is under relentless bombardment as Israel continues a ground invasion to seize the city.

Israel claims most of Gaza City emptied, vows to continue ground offensive

Israeli military chief of staff Eyal Zamir has said that “most of Gaza’s population has already left Gaza City” and that the army “will continue a systematic and thorough advance” into Gaza’s largest urban centre.

Zamir also reiterated Israeli claims that the army is pushing the Palestinian population southward “for their safety” and that it is “ensuring compliance with all security rules”.

These claims are contradicted by findings by human rights experts, including a UN commission of inquiry, which concluded this week that Israel intends to establish permanent control over the Gaza Strip while ensuring a Jewish majority in the occupied West Bank and inside Israel.
