For me...
1) AA battery support in the controllers, I don't need to deal with opening up the controller and replacing a dead lithium battery... Or live a cabled controller life. -  Which provides longevity.
2) Backwards compatibility with a insignificant amount of OG Xbox games... Decent amount of Xbox 360 games and the full compliment of Xbox One games, often with enhancements.
3) Optical CD support.

In saying that, Microsoft has turned it's back on Physical... And as such, I have reduced the number of games I typically purchase... This point in the Xbox One lifecycle I had several hundred games.
Xbox Series? About 40.

But, I buy and own all platforms, I am not an exclusive Xbox gamer... I definitely game on PC the most.
