Would you recommend the 9th gen upgrade to someone still on 8th gen?

A lot of people think gens are about power and not what they are actually about: succession. So yes, there are people who think the Switch 1 is the same generation as the Wii-U lol

In the case of the Switch, going by succession alone doesn't make sense because it succeeds both Wii U and 3DS. In many ways it probably should be considered first generation of its form-factor.
