Best I can tell his tweets were mean, something about punching somebody in downtown. I didn't read the article, don't live in the UK, thus don't care. |
If you didn't read the article, and don't care, and barely know what was said, why would you post it so nonchalantly as a rebuttal to another user? Lol. He was arrested for inciting violence, the encouragement for violence is right there in the tweet where he tells people to punch trans people in the balls, the acts aren't new, he would have been arrested under the Public Order Act 1986 and Serious Crime Act 2007.
Section 4 of the Public Order Act 1986
(1) A person is guilty of an offence if he -
- (a) uses towards another person threatening behaviour, or
- (b) distributes or displays to another person any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening
with intent to cause that person to believe that immediate unlawful violence will be used against him or another by any person, or to provoke the immediate use of unlawful violence by that person or another, or whereby that person is likely to believe that such violence will be used or it is likely that such violence will be provoked.
The Serious Crime Act 2007 replaced the common law crime of incitement with a statutory offence of encouraging or assisting crime. Intentionally encouraging or assisting an offence.
No matter what you think about trans people, telling people to go around and punch them in the balls is encouraging a violent, illegal act, because it is not legal to simply go around and punch people in the balls. Leave them the fuck alone, bullying is up against LGBTQ+ in the UK, trans people are being treated like shit recently in the UK, bigots are feeling more emboldened to be violent against them, Graham knows full well what he is doing, he isn't an idiot, he like JK Rowling has bene utterly unhinged about trans people for years now.
