Well, I have to say, I commend Guerilla and Sony's studio network for not trying to create Halo 4. I think they're on to something with the emphasis on real-time tactics and squads - what might be called tactical immersion.

Really, the days of P-C-D gaming (P-C-D: Point at target, Click on R1, Duck behind cover -- rinse and repeat) are gone for good. Gaming has been there and done that, and it's time to move on to new types of gameplay.

It's no accident that the extraordinarily talented folks at Insomniac are doing something similar with Resistance 2 -- moving away from the FPS stereotypes, and adding tactical and squad elements.
