I'm not German, I'm your friendly western neighbor. I don't know much about AfD, but why are they considered rightwing? The Nazi's where socialist (it's in the name). Are AfD hardcore capitalist? |
You've fell for the far-rights attempt to rewrite history, the Nazi Party were not Socialists just because they had Socialist in their name, not once in my entire lifetime in the UK have I ever heard the Nazi Party described as Socialist. The Nazi Party was also not a "Workers Party" Lol. They used both of these things to gain influence and votes as these things were popular post-WW1 and then ripped their masks off. Actions speak louder than words, Democratic People's Republic of Korea does not make North Korea a Democracy, Lol.
There's now parties like the AfD who are trying to change the narrative that Nazis were socialists, which they're only attempting to do to try to divert criticism away from themselves, "How can we be Nazis? We aren't socialists!" but the AfD is so far-right that even other far-right parties across Europe such as France's RN who previously had alliances with them, have distanced themselves from the AfD.
The AfD like the Nazi Party are extreme nationalists with the added twist of being actually pro-Russian, Hitler was never pro-Russian, Hitler hated Communism and the Soviet Union, and ultimately wanted their country (Lebensraum) but it was more beneficial to stay out of each others way at the start in a temporary alliance (Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact) but I think AfD genuinely like Russia.
Back to AfD, I made a post listing some of their recent controversies here: US Politics |OT|

You speak like Europe is a whole country. I’m French and France is not socialist. We just have a social advantage : healthcare for everyone. |
No European country is socialist Tbf so it doesn't matter where he lived, Lol.
