One Israeli soldier killed, 11 injured in Gaza City
One Israeli soldier has been killed and at least 11 seriously injured in battles with Palestinian fighters in Gaza City, Israeli media reports. The Israeli army said it is searching for four missing soldiers.
The Israeli troops were ambushed by Hamas fighters in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, according to reports. Helicopters were sent by the Israeli army to evacuate the soldiers under heavy fire.
The latest death brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza since the start of the war to 455.
Israeli army claims to have killed ISIS leader in Gaza
In a statement posted on X, the Israeli army said it killed Muhammad Abd al-Aziz Abu Zubaida, claiming he was the head of ISIS (ISIL) in Gaza. The statement said Abu Zubaida was killed during an operation in the Bureij area.

What we know is that an Israeli soldier was killed and 11 injured in clashes with Palestinian fighters in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City. There’s information circulating that the Israeli army is still searching for four soldiers.
Since the clashes took place, Israeli air attacks and artillery shelling on Zeitoun have not stopped. The Israeli army wants to kill the Palestinian fighters on the ground.
It’s important to note that Zeitoun has been under endless Israeli artillery bombardment for the past week. Israeli forces have been trying to destroy as many residential buildings as possible in that area before a ground invasion.
The area where these clashes took place is now a battlefield – no one can reach that area and it’s very hard to know what is going on. We’re still awaiting statements to confirm exactly what took place.
