‘Hunger and malnutrition among children are deepening’: UN
The UN humanitarian office (OCHA) is renewing calls for the unrestricted flow of aid into and within Gaza.
“With famine conditions now confirmed in Gaza governorate, hunger and malnutrition among children are deepening,” OCHA said.
“Partners working on nutrition note that in any food crisis, children with underlying health conditions are affected first – and without proper nutrition, water and care, their condition worsens more quickly.”
OIC urges increased efforts to stop Israel’s ‘continued crimes’
Hissein Brahim Taha, secretary-general for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), calls for redoubled efforts to confront Israel’s “continued crimes” against Palestinians.
Taha condemned Israel’s plan to seize all of Gaza and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments about pursuing expansionism under the vision of a “Greater Israel”.
“The international community is called upon to take concrete steps to break the blockade and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid,” Taha said at a summit of the OIC bloc, which includes 57 countries with large Muslim populations.

UN calls for accountability for killing of journalists in Gaza
Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, says accountability over incidents like the killing of journalists in Gaza takes time, asserting that the United Nations chief does not have the authority to launch an international investigation without a proper legislative mandate.
“But there will need to be accountability. We once again call on Israel to cooperate with various mechanisms that exist and have been set up by different bodies to show they can be transparent,” Dujarric told reporters.
He highlighted that the UN Security Council’s Resolution 2222 calls for the protection of journalists and media facilities as parts of civilian infrastructure that need to be respected.
He said Guterres “will support any initiative that will help bring an end to the conflict and bring in humanitarian aid and see the release of all captives in Gaza”.
Dujarric also called on Israel to halt its expanding military offensive on Gaza as it plans to seize Gaza City.
“We’ve been very clear about the potential horrors that a new military assault on Gaza City could bring to the Palestinians who have sought safety there,” he said. “There is no safe place in Gaza.”
Saudi Arabia urges international community to put end to ‘Israeli crimes’
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry says it condemns Israel’s attack on medical personnel and journalists.
“The Ministry stresses the Kingdom’s rejection of Israel’s ongoing violations of international law and norms,” it said. “The Kingdom reiterates its call on the international community to put an end to these Israeli crimes and emphasizes the need to protect medical, relief, and media personnel.”
During a visit to Saudi Arabia in May, US President Donald Trump said it would be a “dream” to see the country establish formal diplomatic relations with Israel.
Riyadh has said it is committed to the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, which conditions recognition of Israel on the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Countries condemn, UN and aid organizations call for accountability, nothing changes, the war crimes only keep getting worse. The international community does not exist. It's a lie meaning as much as 'United' does in the UN. Just a convenient way to absolve yourself from responsibility like Saudi Arabia here, you are part of the international 'community'.
