Best developer in the world (and their best game) and why?

My favorite was Japan Studios, but they did not have the consistency in quality of those two studios, but were not afraid to try whatever they felt like. They did make the best game ever tho.

Valve Software before them, but they stopped releasing games. Naughty Dog and Rockstar North continued.

Before Valve ID software set the bar in the 90s.


And yep Japan Studios.
