Israel deliberately delays aid entry into Gaza: Oxfam
Chris McIntosh, spokesman for the global charity, tells our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic that obstacles facing aid organisations in Gaza include bombings and drone attacks.
But there is also the challenge of “a deliberate delay by Israel in allowing us to bring in aid”, he said.
“Israel is preventing us from bringing in generators, citing security concerns. Israel is using blocking tactics as a weapon to frustrate us in providing relief to the people of Gaza,” McIntosh added.
Nearly one in 5 children in Gaza City malnourished, UNRWA says
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says malnutrition in Gaza City has reached 21.5 percent, meaning nearly 1 in 5 young children is now malnourished.
UNRWA added that Gaza is experiencing a heatwave surpassing 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit), as dehydration increases due to limited water availability.
UNRWA staff are “exhausted, psychologically strained, and in many cases enduring acute food insecurity themselves,” it said on X.

Without medical care, aid could trigger deadly new crisis in Gaza
Israel has imposed man-made starvation on the population of Gaza since the aggression against the enclave began in October 2023. This campaign intensified drastically after March 2025, when the Zionist occupation implemented even harsher restrictions on the already scarce aid allowed into Gaza.
Since then, hundreds of men, women and children have died from severe malnutrition. Doctors survive on meagre crumbs of bread and oil each day, often resorting to seawater to ingest much-needed electrolytes.
Bodily systems shut down one by one, fatigue envelops the victims, and the body begins to consume itself to death.
What is often overlooked, however, is that recovery from starvation can be just as devastating.

Civil Defence says Israeli army firing at emergency vehicles in Gaza City
Gaza Civil Defence spokesman Mahmoud Basal tells Al Jazeera that the Israeli army has been firing at emergency vehicles trying to reach the wounded in Gaza City’s Zeitoun area, which is being targeted by relentless bombardment.
Basal said the attacks have hit residential buildings, causing many casualties, and called on the international community to intervene.
Israeli army strikes outpatient clinic at Al-Aqsa Hospital
Just an hour ago, the Israeli military struck the rooftop of the outpatient clinic of the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah, only 20 metres (65.6 feet) away from where we are. The impact was very devastating.
Before the strike, we could see Israeli drones hovering over the hospital, in a sign of imminent danger. Then, without any warning, the explosion hit, killing at least two Palestinians and sending the entire area into absolute chaos.
The hospital was hit more than 12 times since the start of the war. The pattern of these attacks gives an indication that no place in Gaza is safe.
