A Playstation handheld would not compete with Nintendo. It'll just be the console equivalent of SteamDeck, a small piece constituting something much bigger (like PS4/5 Pro). Playstation Portal outpaced the SteamDeck without the ability to play games natively. A PS6 handheld should do better even if it's 2-3 times the price.
