They are making a lot more money with the PS5 than they did with the PS4, so no, they are not even close to be forced to do it. It may be greed, it may be stupidity, it may be many other things, but certainly not a "they have no choice" scenario.

Their profits increase because of PC ports, third party sales, and PSN.
