Mario Party 6 was about an 8 for all my childhood, but a 9 from adulthood onward. I was spoiled with good Mario Party at the time and didn't know how good I had it. I think the only Mario Party game I prefer is Jamboree, especially once paid content is added.

Yeah, same here. When I revisit games after a few years I typically score them lower. Partially because I’ve exposed myself to more games in the interim, and partially because I’m able to be a little more detached when I evaluate them.

There are some examples going in the other direction, though. I have warmer feelings about Mario Kart Wii now than I did during the 7th generation, thanks to the Wii courses in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass. That was a very helpful reminder about how great the track design is in that game.
