Israel says it attacks Houthi infrastructure
The Israeli army says it has carried out attacks on Houthi infrastructure in Yemen.
The targets included “engineering vehicles, fuel containers and naval vessels”, it said in a post on X.
Israel says drone launched from Yemen intercepted
Israeli Army Radio has reported that Israeli air defences intercepted a drone launched from Yemen. It added that the warning system was not activated.
This comes after Israel targeted the Yemeni port of Hodeidah this morning, claiming to have targeted Houthi infrastructure.
Yemen’s Houthis claim drone attacks on Israeli targets
Yemen’s Houthis say they have targeted multiple sites in Israel, including Ben Gurion International Airport and military sites in Ashdod and the Jaffa area.
In a statement, the group’s military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the attacks were conducted in support of the Palestinian people and in retaliation for Israeli strikes on both Gaza and Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
The statement said the drone attack “successfully achieved its objectives” and pledged similar attacks would continue until Israel’s deadly assault in Gaza comes to an end and its siege is lifted.
One person killed in Israeli strike on southern Lebanon
An Israeli drone strike on southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh has killed at least one person, Lebanon’s National News Agency reports. The strike targeted a motorcycle, killing its rider on the spot in the town of at-Tiri near the city of Bint Jbeil, it said.
Israel continues attacks on Lebanon despite signing a ceasefire with Hezbollah in November to halt hostilities.
