back to the debate, i think religion has far too much influence on politics both here in the UK and from what ive seen and heard in the US, im fed up with government policies being delayed or issues being avoided becauese a few religous people might complain, its shocking, an example of this would be gay adaption, the government here had all but brought in the legislation to allow it, when the then prime minister tony blair promised the complaining church to delay it for them, in my opinion that was an awfull decision.

 

very true but most of the EU and US was founded with religous beliefs and it seems that we cant remove it out of the systems completely.

 

times have changed though, society is more diverse now, the time has come for change, we need to promote equality and abolish discrimination
