The last I knew about Ashhong was when they showed excitement about how people will react when the game is finally revealed.

Welp, I was part of the people who thought for years that Santa Monica next game was scifi, Barlog fooled me completely LOL but I'm happy it isn't because with Intergalactic, SAROS and Horizon we have enough scifi in the works.
Ok so Santa Monica and Barlog are re-imagining another Sony IP, that's way more interesting. Time for the speculations to begin but I have none lol, I'll have to wait.

I recall there being chatter when Intergalatic was announced that perhaps insiders had mixed up what Druckmann and Barlog were working on. 

I'm all for anything from Barlog at this point. Hope it's good.

I thought it was a space game because of Barlog's twitter account lol. In 2019 when the season 1 of Mandalorian was airing he started to tweet a lot about space and inspiration, changed his header to a picture of stars (it was about GOW before the change) and said that it would be cool to have a game about a space bounty hunter traveling through the galaxy, that's when a lot of people assumed it was a space game. Ironically at least the bounty hunter part is in the premise of Naughty Dog's Intergalactic. 

And yes it could be GOW, after all GOW fits the description of existing IP lol. The only reason I don't go directly to think about GOW is that when he presented Eric Williams as the director of GOWR it felt like one of those passing the torch moments. It would be weird to do that and then immediately make a new GOW where he is the director again lol.
