There are a few articles in the American arsenal that have no real equal anywhere else in the world. I can understand when they buy one of those (like Germany buying F-35 to replace their antique Panavia Tornado as a nuclear bomber) if there's really no other option for the role, but otherwise they should buy European as much as possible, and if there isn't an European Version of what they're looking for, they should look at other countries first, like South Korea, Brazil, Australia or Canada. Oh, and with European standard, did you mean transitioning from WP to NATO standard equipment? Or what did you mean by European standard? |
I just meant buying European equipment, Lol. If EU + UK will wean themselves off American equipment then Ukraine should do so as well because USA isn't a reliable partner, but for now they have no other choice so might as well pack themselves with American equipment and then post-war start a slow process of transitioning to European equipment where possible. We need an official European Army but I'll take everyone unofficially getting on the same page instead.
