In the worst way possible, I feel like it's guaranteed to come now though, because they don't really have any choice do they? Microsoft has basically shackled them to The Elder Scrolls Online for the next 10 years and they will need to triple down on it to stay alive now, it's The Elder Scrolls Online maintains its popularity for another 10 years or they get shutdown.
And since the next Xbox device is going to be a Windows based device they're surely going to have to bring cross-saves otherwise risk losing all their Xbox player-base, so I think it will come but it doesn't exactly need to come until the next Xbox device maybe in 2-3 years from now. Originally I thought they were going to start winding down on TESO and it would never come, and that was clearly what they were doing, but u'know, Microsoft decided to be dickheads.
