That'd be a weird quid-pro-quo to release on the same date though, Helldivers 2 and Gears of War will be directly competing with each other on Xbox, Lol. And I imagine they're going to plan something for the launch too which is game wide, like an event to celebrate its launch on Xbox, which could drown out Gears of War on PlayStation too, Lmao.

The hilarious take would be they're releasing them on the same date so that Xbox players are distracted by Helldivers 2 thus giving PlayStation players an actual chance with Gears MP because that shit is sweaty as fuck and a bunch of hardcore Xbox players who have been playing Gears all their lives are going to brutalise a bunch of new PlayStation players, Lmao.

That last theory is just a joke though.
