What does it cost to buy a place, buildup a studio, in LA?
7 years of development for the game?  I'm guessing at least 150+ people working on it (factoring in contract work ect).

Like how many millions are just gone off of that decision?
And if they were able to have a slice of game-play playable.... why not just finish and release instead of just closing it down?
How does this make sense?

even if management was told "look, we might need like a year or so more time to polish it, before its ready to launch"...
How could it, not just be a better choice to give that and release and see how it sells ?
