Israeli army raids occupied West Bank town

Israeli forces have stormed the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, Wafa reports. Citing security sources, it said the raid led to clashes between Palestinian residents and Israeli soldiers who fired live ammunition and tear gas at the crowd.


More Israeli army arrests, assaults in West Bank

Israeli forces have carried out a wave of violent incursions and arrests across the occupied West Bank, Wafa reports. The incidents include:

  • beating two men near Nablus, leading to their hospitalisation;
  • arresting two people and assaulting others in Masafer Yatta, including an 85-year-old man who was hospitalised;
  • beating another man in Jenin city; and
  • apprehending three people after raiding their homes near Ramallah.


Settler violence in West Bank up 30 percent this year: Report

There have been 414 “nationalist crimes” committed by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank so far this year, up from 318 during the same period last year, reports Israeli Army Radio.

The crimes include arson, stone-throwing, vandalism, assaults, and other forms of “violent confrontations”, according to “security establishment data” cited by Army Radio.

A senior Israeli military officer said the settler crimes are not only growing, but also getting severe.

Israeli settlers shoot, injure 3 people in West Bank town: Report

A group of Israeli settlers has stormed into the Palestinian town of Hizma, near Jerusalem, and fired shots at residents on the main street, reports Wafa. The attack wounded three people, including a boy, according to witnesses cited by the agency.

The witnesses said the settlers, who also set fire to a resident’s property, were protected by Israeli forces.
