Finally got to see a Pro in action at my in laws a couple of weeks ago. Checked out Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, then compared the games to how they play on my PS5 at home. I had to stand in front of the TV to really start to see the difference in details. Yes, the difference was noticeable but, when you're literally like a foot away from the screen lol.
I guess it's a case by case basis as to what games really get to take full advantage of the hardware bump compared to base PS5 versions. Although there's only so much that can be done since there wasn't any noticeable CPU upgrade.
Worth it? Sure. For certain scenarios (VR for example) or if you're a diehard Sony fan. For $700? Absolutely not! Should've been the same MSRP as the base PS5 while the base model got a permanent price drop for me to consider upgrading.
