Because platforms like Facbeook are broken and only way for them to make revenue it to cater to the crazy people.
It also sometimes restricts your profile if you call someone out as "Your comment doesn't add anything useful to the conversation". No shit I am trying to kill the conversation. Ir if you report it it says it doesn't breach any policies.
So it's a waste of time basically.
